As mentioned earlier on that our SYF is on the 21st April 2011, Thursday, we would like to know if there are anyone interested to watch us on that day. We have 20 tickets available. Alumnus will have the priority to get the tickets first. Anyone who wants the tickets please inform Ruo Han, the QM. First come first serve! :)
For your information, we'll be reporting at Singapore Conference Hall at 11AM. Estimated time that we'll be performing is 12:10PM. :)

Hey everyone. Our SYF date is on ...
21ST APRIL 2011, THURSDAY
It is also the third and last day of the competition. We'll be performing at around 12:10PM, the 4th school of the 1st session. This time, the results of ALL 3 days will be announced together on the third day itself, which is also our competition day. Results will be announced at 5PM @ the SCH.
Let's all work hard to our goals okay! GOLD! Or even GOLD WITH HONOURS! Let's all strive towards the end together and make our dreams come true by attaining a gold with honours!
We understand that hard work will definitely have to be put in, hence there will be either an increase in number of practices or increase in the duration of practice. Please be understanding and cooperate with us. We understand that it is really very tiring to be having so many practices per week. But we have only 1 more month to SYF. There is not much time left, and as an orchestra, we're all improving but we STILL HAVE MORE TO IMPROVE ON. So, please everyone let's work hard together alright! Let's put in our best effort to make SYF'11 an awesome one! Shall we?
We have all survived the tough and tiring training camp during the March holidays, 3 days from 9am to 6pm. We really thank each and everyone of you for attending this camp, we really appreciate every hard work you put in. We hope that all these hard work won't be wasted okay! 我们一起加油吧!!!
Just to let everyone understand and know how the judging criteria are...
The judging criteria are as follows:
50% - Technique
Articulation 发音
Dynamics 强弱
Intonation 音准
Rhythm 节奏
Tone 音色
50% - Musicianship
Balance 平衡
Blend 合音
Expression 表情
Interpretation 诠释
Phrasing 分句
Style 风格
So, we must do well in all those above criteria so as to acheive good results! This time round, there will be many other GOOD chinese orchestras from other schools competing on the SAME day as us. Schools being Catholic High, Nanyang Girls High, Raffles Girls, Hwa Chong, CHIJ St. Nicholas and even more. Let's work really hard together okay?
